Over Quarter of a Million People File Tax Declarations Electronically in First Two Days

17 February 2010

Within the first two days of being able to file an electronic income tax declaration, over a third of people have done so.

As of this morning, over 250 000 people had submitted their income tax forms the Estonian Tax and Customs Board, which makes up over a third of the total expected to submit income tax declarations.

The ability to file electronically was opened on Sunday night, and the next morning 80 000 people had already filed their income tax declarations. In total, about 667 000 people are expected to make declarations this year.

Last year 675 000 people filed income tax declarations and 90% of them did so over the internet.
