The gala will bring together speakers, partners and other key persons of each event of the week.

Welcome and opening speech will be held by the President of Estonia, Toomas Hendrik Ilves.
Gala will be hosted by Neeme Raud, well known TV and radio correspondent. During the evening various interactive interviews will take place. Garage48 will present the three best teams of "Health&Wellness" event. Entertainment programs will be brought to guests by the best Estonian musicians – Andres Mustonen, DJ Julm and choreographer Teet Kask.

Description

The development of information and communications technology has contributed greatly to social, economic, as well as political changes worldwide. As the global use of Internet and e- governance increases, free and secure internet has become a priority for people everywhere and the understanding that everyone should have access to the Internet is now considered as normal. Freedom of opinion and expression, whether it is online or offline, is the cornerstone of every democratic society and a fundamental human right of every individual. It is important to understand that such concepts as free and secure internet are compatible with each other.

We aim to offer you an engaging and thought-provoking agenda with interactive panels and constructive discussions on all emerging internet freedom issues, including the multi-stakeholder process, the concept of digital divide and how to foster internet freedom globally. All stakeholders are invited to participate in formulating recommendations for internet freedom ahead of the conference.

Google hosts Big Tent meetings all around the world with a mission to discuss the various impacts of Internet on today’s modern society. On the occasion of the Freedom Online Coalition’s conference, Google Big Tent Tallinn 2014 focuses on such issues as the future of Internet freedom and governance in the age of surveillance. President of Estonia, Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Google Chief Evangelist Vint Cerf are among the top debaters who will be speaking on those topics.

Description

The 4th annual conference of the Freedom Online Coalition shall continue open and inclusive discussions in a multi-stakeholder arena. The conference will first focus on the continued promotion of fundamental freedoms online. An epoch of Big Data provides the second key topic, asking about the role of business in advancing an open and free Internet. Keeping the Internet a unified and de-centralized forum and a tool for global free expression shall be the third focus point. Development will continue to be an important element of all discussions.

Panel discussion include following topics:

  3. One Internet

In addition to discussions and debates on the acute issues of freedom online, the Tallinn meeting aims to agree on Recommendations for Freedom Online. Description
Many organizations have realized the benefits of cloud computing in terms of lower capital expenditure and great efficiencies that elasticity and scalability provide. However, one of the biggest challenges to cloud adoption has been the issue of security. During this meetup we will discuss some of the cloud security challenges and what kind of smart approaches are available to mitigate these risks.

Estonian Cloud Computing Meetup is a monthly get-together of people that are active in cloud computing business in Estonia. Start-uppers and enterprises, both business and tech people alike participate in sharing their know-how and experience at offering X-as-a-service, especially for exporting purposes. Typical activities of the meetup include a couple of keynote presentations, panel discussion and networking with people in the industry.

Estonian History Museum (Great Guild Hall)

The new permanent exhibition "SPIRIT OF SURVIVAL – 11,000 years of Estonian history" helps to understand the uniqueness of the people who have lived here and introduces historical events that have most influenced them.
